Katy Talmadge Gunn writes sometimes. She is currently writing about a relatively happy family in a longstanding standoff with the law and everyone else. She went to MFA school for fiction at the University of Alabama and had a fantastic time. She would recommend the experience.

The rest of the time, she travels and performs as Trixie Turvy with the World of Wonders Circus Sideshow. She is a circus hula hooper, sword swallower, comedy escape artist, and knife target for her love and coworker Dizzy Diamond. This is a wonderful time too.

Feel free to email her about writerly things at gunn.kat@gmail.com.

I do know how to pay attention, how to fall down
into the grass, how to kneel down in the grass,
how to be idle and blessed, how to stroll through the fields,
which is what I have been doing all day.
Tell me, what else should I have done?
Doesn’t everything die at last, and too soon?
Tell me, what is it you plan to do
with your one wild and precious life?
